Jeff Beck- The Revolution will be Televised

Jeff Beck's new album and track come at a timely point.  Once again his playing is passionate and fearless.
Some are complaining about the female lead vocals, but I think it lifts his work above and appeal beyond the "guitar nerd" level of expression.
The lyrics are topical and current. This isn't a guy just resting on his laurels.

  1. I've been a Jeff Beck fan since I first heard of him in the mid 80s. His artistic path has meandered around into all kinds of interesting nooks and crannies and I'm glad that he continues to try out new styles instead of reverting to the tried and true. This new album is a keeper and he continues to lay it out there. He's been instrumental based for so long, it's really great hearing something with lyrics and these young ladies he teamed up pushed him into some good stuff. Keep up the blog when you can. I'm going to catch up on some of your older stuff (dug the piece about Randy Jackson/Zebra).

    1. say him live this summer. was a great show
